Jesus and Me in 2003

Heartstrings gospel group as mentioned before, is made up of 3 sisters. Debbie plays guitar, Gwen plays guitar, and Robin plays the bass guitar. We also have Bob. He plays the steel guitar for us and is also a member of the family. Robin's daughter has played played drums for us. David (Gwen's husband) does the sound for us. Also, other members of the family that helps out with our equipment. Also, Bill, (our Dad) sings and we back him up. Another important part of Heartstrings is the support from our family.

Heartstrings has been an official group since 1998, but we have sang together most of our lives growing up together. We have had many requests for a recording on a CD, but never had the means to accomplish this. I am happy to say that the Lord has opened that door for us to record a CD. We will be working on a project this summer, thank the Lord.

We don't consider ourselves to be entertainers. Our lives are dedicated to the Lord for his service. We want to use the talent He has given us for His glory.

About our family: We are part of a family of 8 children ( 6 girls & 2 boys).  Originally from Arkansas and migrated to  Washington state. Our parents are close by, so we see them quite often. Also, our Dad sings with us.  Our Mom has done foster parenting for over 20 years and has had many children in her home. Some of them are still close to the family.

 Debbie is a single mother, has a grown daughter and 2 grandchildren. She also has 2 foster children at home. Debbie has also been a foster parent for a few years and has enjoyed her time spent with the different kids in her home. Even though foster parenting can be challenging, she still has the desire to help kids and provide a home for them. Debbie has been singing for may years on her own. Recording an album and a single years ago was a thrill for her, but the album she recorded about seven years ago meant a lot more. It was a collection of songs Debbie personally wrote from her heart and God.   

 Gwen is married to David and has 7 children at home. She has also followed after her mom's desire to be a foster parent as 3 of the children at home is a foster child. Gwen has enjoyed being a foster mom for several years and it has been an interesting and rewarding experience.  There are a lot of kids out there that need a good and safe home. The one downside is having to let them go after you have had them for awhile and you get emotionally attached to them. 

 Robin is married to Andy and has 4 children. Besides being musically talented, Robin also has a good hand for being artistic when it comes to making crafts, painting and creating things. She designed the Heartstrings label and CD cover. So she gets volunteered  when something has to be made.

Our brothers and sisters are an important part of our ministry. Their love and support means so much to us. They have been blessed as well, with their families and talents God has given them. We love them very much.

Since we have started singing as Heartstrings, we have met many talented groups. Our new friends have been a blessing to us and we have enjoyed listening to their music and spending time with them. If you get a chance to listen to them you will be blessed as well.
